Welcome to Centro San Bonifacio's webpage!
Centro San Bonifacio is a non-profit community-based organization which was founded in 1991 by Christian Base Communities in Chicago. As an organization, we recognize and draw upon the strengths of leaders and visionaries at the grassroots, professionals and traditional healers, the vitality of youth and the wisdom of our elders and ancestors. Centro San Bonifacio is majority managed and directed by Latino immigrants, and our programs are created by the Latino immigrant staff and volunteers. We currently have two sites, in West Town and Humboldt Park, and we primarily serve these community areas as well as Logan Square and Hermosa. Community Health Promoters use popular education, small grassroots projects, peer-to-peer, education and mutual support to promote leadership and just social change while serving those in need.
